Human Resources Support and Services

Businesses of all sizes often look to outside resources for human resources or employment administration support. CHS Insurance offers every level of service, from a HR Hotline where employers can speak to a human resources professional on any employment-related topic all the way to full-service HR outsourcing. We can even step in on a project basis for tasks such as a human resources policies and procedure audit, employee benefits education or employment manual updates.

Worksite Programs

Most employers are familiar with worksite products such as Accident, Life Insurance and Critical Illness. When you partner with CHS Insurance for these, however, our services are unique from the rest. We use professional, salaried enrollers through one-on-one meetings, resulting in employees who truly understand exactly what products they’ve purchased and why – a key element in a satisfied worker.

Executive Disability Plans

Traditional group-based long-term disability plans typically do not cover all of a “key” employee’s compensation, if disabled. We have designed our Executive Disability Plans to fit on top of your group long-term disability plan to provide up to 85% of the individual’s pre-disability earnings replacement.

Dental Insurance

CHS Insurance has an exclusive trust arrangement for our clients through Delta Dental. This provides discounted group dental plans using the Delta Preferred Option and Delta Premier Option networks. Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment

CHS Insurance offers plans underwritten by financially secure carriers that offer competitive rates and benefits.We can offer your employees a flat amount of group life and AD&D insurance or a multiple of salary. In addition, dependent life insurance is also available for spouses and children. return to top

Short Term Disability Insurance

This provides your employees with income replacement in the event of a no-work related illness or accident. Benefits can start on the 1st, 8th, 15th or 30th day of a disability and continue for up to 6 months. The benefit amount is typically 60% of salary. return to top

Long Term Disability Insurance
This coverage usually begins after 90 or 180 days (employer’s choice) of a disability and continues until the disability ceases or until Social Security normal retirement age is reached. This coverage is usually combined with a short term disability plan. return to top

Vision Insurance
Our vision coverage can be purchased on a stand-alone basis or tied to other coverage depending on group size. We offer the traditional vision service providers as well as a vision discount plan. return to top

Voluntary Products
Voluntary products are fast becoming a major employee benefit. Voluntary products are 100% employee paid and include life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, dependent life insurance, dental insurance, vision coverage, or even disability insurance. Through a partnership with Aflac®, we can also offer accident, critical illness and hospital insurance. These plans can enhance your total benefit package without additional employer contributions. return to top

Section 125 Plans

Section 125 plans come in two forms. The Section 125 plan allows your employees to pay their portion of their benefit costs on a pre-tax basis. The full Section 125 plan adds medical reimbursement and child care accounts on a pre-tax basis to the basic plan. return to top

Key Person Life

This is a benefit for key people within your company – a person whose death or disability would adversely affect the earnings of your business. This policy is owned by the business and the business is the beneficiary. We have arrangements with several companies that will provide competitive pricing and underwriting. return to top

Key Employee Retention Plans
The departure of a key employee could negatively affect your bottom line. If this is the case, we have plans that will help to retain your key employees on a selective basis. return to top

COBRA Services
We can take the burden of COBRA administration off your human resources department. Our vendor will send out mailings and make sure you are COBRA compliant. return to top

Total Compensation Statements
A statement which shows the total cost of benefits provided to employees. We have the ability to generate statements for your employees which show the true costs of benefits provided to them. These can be personalized with your logo. return to top
